ROUNDUP. Crave a little friendly competition with your beer? These bars give revelers a reason to leave the deck of cards on the coffee table and venture away from ubiquitous trivia nights.
Beirut Night
Grab a partner and some pingpong balls for everyone’s favorite frat-house sport. Known as beer pong to the rest of the country, The Kells hosts Boston’s only Beirut league. Yes, the cups are filled with water (for liability reasons, we assume), but you can sip a pint on the side and indulge in the bar’s Asian-influenced appetizers. Plus, the winning team earns a Kells $50 gift certificate — which is more than you’ll get sinking cups in the basement of Sigma Phi.

Karaoke Idol
No machines here: Hennessy’s takes karaoke to a whole new level with live backing band The Buzz. So, gather some liquid courage, hop on stage, and belt out a rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” that would give David Archuletta nightmares. Your friends may laugh, but taking home the $50 prize for audience favorite should shut them up.

Bikini Bull Riding
We usually stay away from wet T-shirt contests and the like, but bull riding? That’s a different story! At Liquor Store, unleash your inner cowgirl and hold on tight to the mechanical bucking bull, if you’re willing to strip down to your skivvies. The reward for staying on the longest is $200 cash, and each weekly winner will be entered into the finals for a chance at five grand. Note: you don’t absolutely have to strip to your skivvies, as the damsel pictured above chose to keep her jeans on.
