Oh, what a fickle womb

GOSSIP. With apologies to Hillary and the whole “will she or won’t she drop out?” uncertainty over the weekend, there was really only one unknown that mattered: Just what is going on with Angelina Jolie’s womb? “Entertainment To-night” reported on Friday that the World’s Most Famous Pregnant Woman™ did indeed give birth to two girls, named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane Jolie-Pitt, in the South of France. But the reps for Pitt and Jolie re-leased a flurry of denials over the weekend, with Pitt saying, “We have no comment except the story is not true.”

We’re sure Mary Hart and the “Entertainment To-night” crew have been wrong before, so we will end this little report with a very astute quote from a villager in Correns, France, where the famous family is allegedly staying: “She’s a woman like any other,” a man who gave his name only as Leon told Associated Press Television News, when asked what he thought about the famous couple moving into his town. “You know, as far as pretty women go, there are others on Earth.”

Shocking that he would be so simple-minded, we know.

Her publicist released this statement: “After careful consideration, Ashlee Simpson has decided to postpone her summer tour.
