Boston Police said authorities received more than 200 tips regarding the potential whereabouts of Clark and Reigh Rockefeller.
Clark Rockefeller is scheduled to appear in a Baltimore court today on charges related to the alleged kidnapping of his 7-year-old daughter in the Back Bay on July 27.
Following an intensive, week-long pursuit by several state and federal law enforcement agencies, and a “ruse” executed by officials in Baltimore who received an anonymous tip, Rockefeller was arrested Saturday afternoon. Young Reigh Rockefeller was found alone in a nearby apartment, her appearance altered but unharmed, officials said. Reigh was reportedly excited to see law enforcement officers.
Clark Rockefeller, 48, will face charges that include felony custodial kidnapping and assault and battery. Investigators are still trying to determine his true identity.
Reigh was allegedly taken by her father during a custodial visit last Sunday. The pair reportedly received a ride from an unsuspecting friend to New York City, where they were spotted that evening. Reports of future sightings emerged from Delaware to the Caribbean, where some thought the father may sail a newly purchased yacht.
Investigators eventually learned that the father and Reigh were in an apartment in Baltimore near Anchorage Marina, where his catamaran had been docked for years. They schemed to get him to the marina by calling him Saturday afternoon to tell him his dilapidated boat was taking on water. Once on the street Rockefeller was arrested.
