Eight games into the Phillies season, Matthew Clemmens became known as “Pukemon” by forcing himself to projectile vomit on an 11-year-old girl at Citizens Bank Park. Hours before they play their 103rd game, Clemmens will have been sentenced for those drunken acts.
The victim’s father said Thursday that it still lingers. “It’s brought a lot of unwanted attention. It seems to be the topic of conversation most places I go,” said Michael Vangelo, an Easton police captain who will speak in Judge Kevin Dougherty’s courtroom if asked to by the assistant district attorney. “She just wants it to end.”
Clemmens attorney, Richard Hark, said neither he nor his client would comment until after Friday’s hearing.
